The Geneva International Motor Show might be hosted at one of the smallest venues in the worldwide auto show scene, but the Palexpo Arena, situated right next to the Swiss city’s international airport, packs the most powerful punch in the industry with over 100 debuts anticipated this year.
While other global shows have seen a disturbing number of manufacturers jumping ship, only a few major players will be absent from the motoring extravaganza in Switzerland, namely Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar-Land Rover and Volvo, though the latter’s Polestar sibling will be there with a world premiere.
For 2019, the Swiss show opens with the press and trade days on March 5-6, before welcoming the general public on March 7-17. Besides a multitude of studies pointing towards upcoming production models, a few of the most premieres include the generation of the Volkswagen Golf and an SUV from Aston Martin’s sister brand Lagonda.
