Even the Chevrolet Bolt hasn’t changed much since it was released in 2016, however there is apparently a significant update on the horizon.

As noticed by Car & Driver, the EPA claims that the 2020 Bolt is going to have an increased variety of 259 kilometers (417 km). This ’s 21 kilometers (34 kilometers ) over its predecessor and will be considerably more than rivals like the Nissan Leaf Plus (226 kilometers / 364 km), Kia Niro EV (239 miles / 385 km) along with Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus (240 kilometers / 386 km). The model also tops the Hyundai Kona Electric which has a variety of 258 miles (415 km).

Despite the increased range, the model appears slightly less efficient than before the 2020 Bolt has an MPGe rating of 127 city, 108 street along with 118 combined. This ’s a dip in the 2019 model which was rated at 128 city, 119 and 110 street. As a result, it costs an excess penny to drive 25 miles (40 km).

Little is understood concerning the updated Bolt, but the publication believes the car has been equipped with a revised battery pack which has a better chemistry. It’s recorded at all, although that appears to be a rational explanation.

While the scope sees a considerable improvement for 2020, there doesn’t even seem to be some changes that are drastic. However, Car & Driver claims we can anticipate a “few new features” plus a revised colour palette which swaps out Shock Yellow for Cayenne Orange Metallic along with Oasis Blue. The publication also states the recognizable 200 hp (149 kW / / 203 PS) electrical motor carries over.
