The Porsche Taycan is predicted to go on sale in 2020.
The black-camouflaged Taycan practically vanished from view, only minutes after the convoy left the principal gate of this Porsche development center in Weissach; the camera team’s Cayenne lost the battle to keep pace as it became clear that Walter supposed business. Walter Röhrl desired to examine the car to the limit.
A couple of kilometres later we caught up together in a car park at the woods, where he had stopped to wait for us. The look on his face spoke volumes.
Walter Röhrl is happy to hear that the 800 V design of this new Taycan provides him with up to 350 kW charging ability, as electromobility would appeal to him too, if he could get 100 kilometres from a four-minute fee, and so cover extended distances without needing to stop and charge for hours.
