A Norwegian Air Boeing 737MAX has been forced to make an unscheduled dip in Iran on Friday due to a technical error.
Even the two-month-old jet landed in Shiraz, Iran.
Crew on board and the 189 passengers were hauled to a hotel near the airport.
A relief Boeing 737-800 has been dispatched from Norway along with a pair of technicians who will determine if spare components will need to be sourced.
It is unclear if there will be complications with components procurement due to US sanctions against Iran.
