A worker at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, was killed on Tuesday after a bicycle where he was performing maintenance work exploded, the Associated Press reported.
The explosion occurred while maintenance was being performed by two employees on a bicycle utilized for a jet bridge, a structure that connects the terminal construction.
The unidentified employees weren’t employees of John Wayne Airport. They worked to get a builder called JBT.
Neither the airport JBT was immediately available for comment on the issue.
