Another Week And Another Price Increase For The Tesla Model 3 And Y

Tesla has raised costs for non-performance variants of the Model 3 and Model Y yet again.

The electric automobile manufacturer has been slowly increasing costs Model 3 and also Model Y in recent weeks and today, costs for your Model 3 Standard Range have climbed from $39,490 to $39,990. Likewise the Model 3 Long Range AWD is 500 more costly than before, now starting at $48,990.

As for the Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD, it is nearly $500 more costly and starts at $51,990. When such as the $1,200 destination fee, the cheapest Model 3 you can now purchase prices $41,190.

Prices for the Model 3 and Model Y are steadily increasing lately. In mid-February, the Model 3 Standard Range Plus could be obtained for $36,990. As long, however, Tesla increased its price by $500 to $37,490. Two weeks after, costs climbed to $37,990 and 2 weeks after they increased once more by $500 to $38,490. Four weeks ago, prices jumped by 500, pushing the EV up to $38,990. Before this month, another $500 price hike was applied to non-performance variations of the Model 3 and Model Y.

Given the consistent cost rises, it seems clear this is a portion of a strategy from Tesla to slowly increase costs as opposed to raise them by a few thousand dollars at one time. Many speculate that Tesla is increasing costs to account for the possibility of this EV national tax being reinstated.
