The Audi E-Tron is the first generation battery-powered SUV from Ingolstadt.

It has nothing in common with other E-Tron-branded vehicles, except for the title, and it’s a fresh entrance to this particular niche.

Powering it are two electric motors, one on every axle, which make their juice by a 95 kWh battery. In Sport mode, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint takes 5.7 seconds, that is very respectable for a vehicle that weighs 2.5 tons (5,512 lbs).

Keep the ideal pedal down, and it’ll eventually top out in 200 km/h (124 mph). And it will all of this with a range of over 400 kilometers (249 miles) from the WLTP riding cycle.

Flexible air suspension, LED headlights, 20-inch metal wheels and a charging stage on every side are standard. However, those side cameras that replace the conventional mirrors are an optional extra.

The ride is okay, the steering is well weighted, there’s room for up to five occupants also it has more boot space than the Tesla Model X but less compared to Jaguar I-Pace with the rear seats up.
