We’ve seen our fair share of underwhelming police cars, but M Town is a different story.

Unlike Los Angeles, M Town is all about functionality. As a result, they’ve eschewed the eco-friendly BMW i3 for an M2 Coupe.

While it’s not the most sensible option, that doesn’t matter much in a fictional city where detectives tackle hardcore offense such as potholes and gangs building crappy automotive accessories. Speaking of the fuzzy steering wheel covers and wood bead seat covers can get your driver&rsquo.

Getting back to the car, the M2 Coupe has an LAPD-inspired black and white livery that appears surprisingly good. The car has been equipped with a massive push guard and emergency lights. The phone number is a special as it’s 1972 which will be the year that BMW M has been founded.

While the BMW M2 is no longer in production, it’s been replaced by the M2 Competition. Priced from $58,900, the model has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine which generates 405 hp (410 PS / 301 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It can be paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. With the latter option, the M2 can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h) when equipped with the optional M Driver’s Package.
