It’s safe to say the Tesla Cybertruck show didn’t go as planned. Love it or hate it, there’no denying that Elon Musk’s screen if he attempted to flaunt the Cybertruck’s “Tesla Armor Glass” by using a metallic ball thrown in the pub. Despite said to be bulletproof against gunfire, the metallic ball shattered the window after having been thrown by a crazy. Hardly bulletproof, subsequently, is it? So poke a little fun in Tesla, BMW tweeted that a photo of its newly released bulletproof X5 VR6.

From the tweetwe get to see that the brand new BMW X5 shot to hell by a number of different caliber bullets, not one of that travelled all the way through. The caption that goes along with this reads: “Comes with windows also offers splinter protection if it gets struck by a metallic ball”.

Shots fired. Pun intended.

The armored BMW X5 VR6 sports glass that has to withstand assault rifle fire particles going into the cottage. In actuality, a testing film is inserted into the interior of the glass, which has the same durability as skin. So if it s damaged during the glass test, the glass fails. Which means unpleasant indents will get the glass to fail. By those criteria, the Cybertruck would have neglected from a metallic ball.

Elon Musk asserts the glass was busted by a hammer struck to the doorway that happened during a previous test. So if bullets struck the doorway after which the glass (as typically shooters don’t passion only once), the glass won’t still hold up? Alsothere’s a fascination surround the type of hammer that was used, as it appeared to be a deadblow hammer designed not to hurt metal. The only used in the movie appears suspiciously similar to this 1 . Thoughwe won’t put into some other theories about the veracity of Musk’s asserts. Instead, let Center on the differences between the Cybertruck and the armored BMW X5 VR6.

What’s intriguing is that Musk asserts the rest of the Cybertruck is bulletproof as it uses the exact identical aerospace-grade steel utilized by his SpaceX rocket-building team for the entire body. In actuality, I think Musk has to have stated “Cold-rolled 30X steel” 500 days since the Cybertruck’s unveiling. He really, really enjoys cold-rolled 30X metal. But, BMW claims it didn ’ t turn out well it ’ s attempted using aerospace-grade steel and, well.

“One provider supplied us that a space flight material. But during the ballistics test, the 20,000 plate shattered into a thousand pieces. ” stated Daniel Huber, engineer for BMW armored vehicles.

According to BMW, the X5 VR6 is capable of resisting AK47 fire. That’s a bit more powerful than 9mm. The X5 VR6 is more expensive and is only offered as a special order for clients that are specific. However, in case you re looking for something bulletproof, then there s no getting round the simple fact that something like the BMW X5 VR6 will better suit your needs compared to Tesla Cybertruck.
