The London Police Service shared its report on the evaluation via Twitter. A few people wondered whether it was legal to own The Boring Company’s Not-a-Flamethrower. As stated by the UK authorities ’s 2016 Firearms licensing law manual, flamethrowers are banned in the nation.
However, TBC’s apparatus is not a flamethrower, even though it might seem to function as one. In the event of both Faraj and Ramirez, the apparatus was mistakenly listed as a flamethrower.
The Boring Company’s Not-a-Flamethrower appears to be in a grey area under the law, especially considering how much it is frequently mistaken for a real flamethrower. The differences to an actual flamethrower are more apparent when TBC’s apparatus is in use. The Boring Company Not-a-Flamethrower was known as a glorified lighter previously due to how tame it is compared to a real flamethrower.
Teslarati contacted the LPS to find clarification on the captured item and received no remark as of writing.
