Electric Car manufacturer Tesla, has started accepting payments for the purchases made, throughout the cryptocurrency called BitCoin. The news was made by the CEO of the company, Elon Musk, who tweeted about the exact same on his social networking handle.
This official statement makes Tesla the very first important automaker to begin accepting payments in bitcoin in exchange for its products. The option to pay through BitCoin is live on Tesla’s checkout site.

Musk also stated the Bitcoin paid off Tesla is going to be retained as Bitcoin, also will not be converted into fiat currency. “Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly,” he explained. Now the’Pay by Bitcoin’ capability is going to be made available outside the US at the conclusion of 2021.
The CEO further verifies that Tesla is using open-source and internal software. Additionally, the company is working Bitcoin nodes directly.
Back in February, Tesla purchased $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin. In a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it purchased the bitcoin for ldquo;greater flexibility to further diversify and maximize yields on our money”.
Tesla had added that it will start accepting payments in bitcoin in exchange for its products “subject to applicable laws and initially on a limited basis”.
