China plans to require that all new automobiles sold after 2035 be eco-friendly “fresh energy vehicles” according to Nikkei Asia. The plans were announced in a long road map to get fresh energy vehicles and are regulated under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The specifics of the plan say that as of 2035, 50 percent of new cars sold in the nation will likely be either electric, plug-in hybridvehicles, or fuel cell cars, and 50 percent of new automobiles will be conventional hybrids, that still run completely on gasoline.
