1. HQ Trivia lays off ~20 percent since it preps subscriptions

The cuts hit HQ’s HR, marketing and product development teams, according to LinkedIn profiles of employees. Morale could be further hampered by the cuts in the startup following a first half of this year.

It also could leave the business short-handed since it tries to increase revenue with the launch of monthly subscriptions.
