Electric vehicle startup Drako Motors has dropped a new video revealing just how accelerative its own GTE is by lining it up alongside a Tesla Model S P100D Ludicrous+.
The Tesla Model S has been the benchmark for functionality auto acceleration in the last several years but as motors enhance and auto makers invest in EV technology, the Tesla’s edge has begun to dwindle. In the case of this Drako Motors GTE, the Model S doesn’t stand a Opportunity.
In full rate, the two vehicles were sent down a runway in the haul race featured and while the Drako just comes from a small automaker, it manages to easily jump off the line faster than the Tesla.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody familiar with all the specs of this GTE. Most notably, it features four electric motors to provide a combined 1,200 hp along with 6,491 lb-ft (8,800 Nm) of wheel . With those characters, we’re actually amazed the GTE wasn’t quicker compared to Tesla.
Subsequently there’s the price. Drako plans on building only 25 units of this GTE with each priced at $1.25 million.
Whether or not the GTE succeeds remains to be observed however cracking into the EV market is not a simple feat. What’s more, Drako will somehow have to convince customers that its Fisker-based GTE is worth purchasing on the likes of the Rimac C_Two and next-generation Tesla Roadster, either from businesses with established production processes and on the forefront of electric vehicle technology.
