SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk Reacted to Amazon censorship by demanding That the Big Tech’s Origin be Ruined.

“Musk tweeted it is lsquo;time to split up Amazon’ after the tech giant briefly blocked the publication of a novel ” skeptical over COVID-19 lockdowns, ReclaimTheNet reported.

Former New York Times reporter and writer Alex Berenson tweeted a screenshot of a Kindle Direct Publishing notification on June 4. The notification in the screenshot stated that Amazon had blocked the sale of the publication “Unreported Truths roughly COVID-19 and Lockdowns: Part 1: Introduction and Death Counts and Estimates. ”
The screenshot suggested that Amazon would not offer the book for sale:

Berenson condemned the business for restricting his publication in a subsequent tweet:

“THEY CENSORED IT! It’s based entirely on published government data and scientific documents. It doesn’t say coronavirus isn’t actual or doesn’t kill people (in actuality, the blatant death toll is very likely to be striking to people). And then Amazon won’t run it. ”

Musk reacted by calling Bezos directly, also tweeted, “This really is. ” He followed that by announcing, “Time to split up Amazon. Monopolies are wrong! ”

“However, after Musk and many others slammed the decision, Amazon reversed course and released the book,” Reclaim the Net reported. The post note “While Amazon ultimately published the novel, the rejection contributed to talk of Amazon’s dominance from the ebook market. ”

“Amazon told Fox News that it had been also the publication shouldn; along with an & lsquo; error & rsquo ’t have been eliminated, however, Berenson had his doubts,” even Fox News reported.

The post quoted Berenson’s response rejecting Amazon’s narrative:

“& & lsquo; They didn’t say it was a mistake… I really do believe I’m not the only person who has run into this. They need to be clear exactly what their position is about publishing controversial material on rsquo, & problems; Berenson said. ‘It doesn’t seem to me this was an error, however I don&rsquo. ’”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) sent an open letter from April calling for the Justice Department to ldquo;open a criminal antitrust analysis of Amazon” after a Wall Street Journal report accused Amazon of employing the data of third-party vendors using its platform to be able to make its in-house competing products.

The opposite side of the political spectrum is wary of Amazon’s tactics as well. “After the Journal’s report last week,” The Verge observed, “Democrats to the House Judiciary Committee wrote statements seeking clarification on whether a top Amazon official’d ‘lied’ to Congress regarding its data practices at a former hearing. ”

“If true, this report raises deep concerns regarding Amazon’s clear lack of candor before the Committee regarding an issue that’s central to our analysis,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) mused.
