Tesla CEO Elon Musk has contributed to Dave Portnoy’s Barstool Fund, which aims to assist modest companies survive amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Barstool creator Portnoy Tweeted late on Friday night which Musk was officially donating to the fund on behalf of the Musk Foundation. “Glad to possess @elonmusk and the Musk Foundation’so assistance,” Portnoy shared.

After the announcement, Portnoy shared the Musk’s contribution was followed with other high-profile titles, such as Green Bay Packers QB and NFL MVP favorite Aaron Rodgers, who contributed $500,000.
The Barstool Fund was setup amidst the international pandemic to assist local companies in keeping their doors shut. Despite the fact that the fund was set up less than a month before, the design has shrunk over $20 million in donations, which is definitely enough to keep a lot of doors available.
Statistics from Yelp Indicates that 60 percent of company that have closed during the pandemic have shut due to slowing company operations. As many local and State authorities over the United States have enforced stay-home orders, dine-in service has been terminated in several areas. This has effectively removed many employees from small companies, that have suffered tremendously because the pandemic started in early 2020.
Barstool’s official website indicates that more than 98 companies have been able to keep their doors open during the pandemic because of the finance.
It is not the first-time Musk and Portnoy have interacted. In May 2020, following the Tesla CEO’s outspoken discontent within the California government’s handling of this Coronavirus pandemic, Portnoy Tweeted a movie expressing similar opinions to Musk’s. Musk said that Portnoy needs to run for political office, and supported that the Barstool CEO’s things.

Musk lately obtained the name of “World’s Richest Person” earlier this week Thursday, following Tesla stock’s astronomical conduct within the last year. Musk, who had little interest within his brand new label, is contributing back to the fighting communities of small-time America.
