Elon Musk insists he has funding to take Tesla private, but won’t because investors pleaded with him not to (TSLA)

Elon Musk announced on Friday that he no longer wants to create Tesla a private firm. In a blog explaining why he made the choice, Musk insisted he could fund the move. He stated that investors persuaded him that Tesla is much better as a public firm. He outlined the reaction from shareholders as”please don’t do this.”

Elon Musk considers that there’s”more than enough” funds to create Tesla a private business, but chose not to because investors advised him”please don’t do this.”

Musk announced his aim to maintain Tesla as a publicly-traded firm on Friday, finish a three-week saga that involved everyone from Goldman Sachs to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). See the rest of the story at Business Insider
