Tesla CEO Elon Musk has hinted that a revised and new version of the company’s “Joe Mode” feature could be in its way. The requests for “Baby Mode” came following electric vehicle owners reported that Joe Mode’s already-muted chimes were loud enough to wake up their children during road trips.

Twitter group Tesla Owners Silicon Valley has been asking the feature as November 2019. In the end, on April 19, his petition went acknowledged as Musk shed some light on the chance of the attribute coming to the fleet at an update. “Joe Mode” was released with the V10 update at September 2019. While it seemed as a seemingly minor addition to the Software Update, “Joe Mode” has been. Musk himself seems to have a soft place for “Joe Mode, calling it the “best mode” on Twitter. This could be because Musk is quite knowledgeable about the struggles of traveling being the dad of five boys.

Naturally enough, “Joe Mode” enables all chimes inside the automobile as standard, but every tone will perform half the quantity. The chimes affected by “Joe Mode” comprise noises which alert the driver of upcoming maneuvers, such as Autopilot warnings.

But, it seems the “Joe Mode’s” chimes may be too loud for children that are light sleepers. While @teslaownersSV is the account to get any sort of response from Musk regarding the feature, many Tesla owners have asked a Joe Mode update previously. Musk did not devote the attribute, although his acknowledgement may indicate that an real Baby Mode update will be published.

In ways, a committed Baby Mode could be effective in the Tesla Model Y, the company’s vehicle. The company’s new crossover has been labeled by various owners since the quietest Tesla thus far after numerous improvements were made in the soundproofing layout of the automobile, since Tesla added many audio buffering materials to the Model Y’therefore layout.

Couple this with how the Model Y is a crossover, and Baby Mode becomes a much better match for the all-electric car or truck. Crossovers, after all, are common family cars, thanks to large cargo capacity and their spacious interior, each of which are present in the Model Y. This usually means that there will probably be many households that will buy the Model Y, and many of them will most likely be traveling with young children, or perhaps even babies.
