Along with the award-winning singer, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO invited audiences to have a look at the upcoming SNL event. “HiI’m Elon Musk, also I’m hosting SNL this week together with musical guest Miley Cyrus. And I’theres a crazy card, so that there ’so no telling what I would do,” Musk explained, adding that they would attempt to become “good-ish. ” In a companion promo, the award-winning singer asked Musk what he had been up to this week, where the SpaceX CEO explained that “I only did a successful rocket launch this week. ”

While such a statement may seem bold since rocket sticks are inherently remarkable, Musk was actually underplaying SpaceX’s achievements over the last week. Musk’s statement was likely related to this successful test release of Starship SN15, which finished its landing to the very first time. But this wasn’t all that SpaceX did within the last seven days.

Along with Starship SN15’s successful launch, SpaceX additionally successfully and gradually brought home four astronauts from the International Space Station via its Crew Dragon capsule. The astronauts, that were part of this Crew-1 assignment, spent a listing 168 times in space. Naturally, SpaceX’s resident workhorse, the tried-and-tested Falcon 9 rocket, additionally introduced 60 new Starlink satellites to orbit before landing perfectly on a droneship at the center of the ocean.

Maybe when one is accomplished and experienced as Elon Musk, the phrases “I only did a successful rocket launch this week” certainly are a lot more humble than they seem.

Despite first controversy from some of SNL‘s throw about Musk’s hosting gig this Saturday, matters seem to be smooth sailing to the SpaceX CEO along with the throw of this late-night comedy series. In an announcement to Entertainment Weekly, Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson noticed that the throw and Musk recently dined together, a tradition one of the series ’s guest hosts.

According to Davidson, the dinner was fine, and there wasn’t any talk about the alleged controversies and protests from cast members that were opposed to this CEO. Davidson did notice that Musk was very fine, and that he had been excited for the episode.

“We didn’t discuss it at all because we’re just like… I just don’t understand why this is the dude everyone’s freaked out about. I was like, ‘What exactly did he perform? He’s the same as a very wealthy businessman that creates, like, nerd s***. ’ I don’t understand. He’s quite good. I’m excited,” ” Davidson explained.
