Elon Musk has said faculty is for permitting pupils to spend some time together with people their age, excellent, but asserted when it comes to learning new things that it s pointless.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO left his bold remarks in the Satellite 2020 convention on Monday, March 9, where he discussed sending humans to space, exploring more of this world and advancing technologies.
Through a viewer Q&A part of this event, Musk was asked how colleges and businesses may make higher education more affordable for students, in addition to create more access.
He responded by arguing knowledge is essentially available at no cost, saying ‘ you don ’ t need college to learn stuff ’ and implying paying for it is unnecessary.

I think colleges are also to prove you’re able to do your chores and basically for fun, however they ’ re not for studying.

Interestingly, Musk didn’t seem to feel this way when he had been getting his own degrees in physics and economics. He spent two years studying at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario before moving into the University of Pennsylvania to finish his degrees.
However, the CEO did drop from a PhD program at Stanford University after spending just two weeks on the course. He chose instead to start his first company, Zip2, that ended up earning him $22 million, even Business Insider reports.

Musk pointed out Tesla did not need candidates to have a college degree, explaining it has a requirement of ‘evidence of skill.
He expressed admiration for Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Apple’s Steve Jobs, also Oracle’s Larry Ellison, saying:
I would like ’t believe going to college evidence of skill. In actuality you did some thing and dropped out.
If you look in like, you understand, Gates is a fairly wise guy; he dropped outside. Jobs, fairly smart — he dropped out. Larry Ellison, smart man — he dropped out.
Much like not needed. Can Shakespeare even go to college? Probably not.

Musk has protested the need to have degrees. This past yearhe replied ‘yes’ when asked when he ‘stand[s] securely on not requiring college levels ’, and a month, even when advertising functions at Tesla, he admitted that he doesn’t care when his potential workers even finished high school.

Musk’s remarks in the Satellite 2020 conference were met suggesting the viewers were on board with the idea of ditching education on showing skills, along with focusing.
