It appears that Tesla and its Chinese structure partners are determined to transcend expectations with Gigafactory 3’s buildout. Just lately, a community Chinese media outlet was given permission to film inside the Gigafactory 3 complex, and based on the news bureau ’therefore footage, it appears that many offices at the expansive Shanghai-based website are already operational.
The neighborhood news website, Kanka News (看看新闻) noted in its video the Gigafactory 3 plant was structurally capped. The electric vehicle maker reportedly deployed 30 overseas employees to the website, that are working with a team of 140 Tesla China employees. This joint endeavor team is reportedly responsible for the security of indoor electromechanical facilities at the Gigafactory 3 complex.
It had been highlighted in Kanka’s footage which the full Tesla team in China is currently pushing to get ready for the area creation of the Model 3 after this season. To do this, Tesla has set up Model 3 project supervisors in the US into the Gigafactory 3 website, while simultaneously filling in articles for the centre ’s operations and direction.

Looking at the footage captured with Kanka News, it’s difficult to not be amazed in the speed upon which Gigafactory 3 is being assembled. The offices where the US and China teams are working on seem completed and refined, although it seemed like the employees are located in one of the modular structures which were first assembled over the Gigafactory 3 complex.
Interestingly , several Gigafactory 3 workers which were filmed with the community Chinese news service were wearing safety helmets and accessories since they appeared to be exiting the offices. This suggests that employees from Gigafactory 3’s usable areas still regular parts in the website which are still under construction.
Earlier this week, a report from Yicai Global, yet another Chinese press agency, noted that the very first batch of employees hired by Tesla by its job postings are being informed that they will be reporting for duty by the end of July. This goal timeframe looked ambitious then, but considering the contents of Kanka News‘ recent footage of Gigafactory 3’s offices, it appears that several parts of the complex are already ready to be filled with workers.
The pace of Gigafactory 3’s construction was nothing but astounding. When Elon Musk attended the website ’s revolutionary event in Januaryhe noted that the very first China-made Model 3 will likely roll off the mill by the end of the year. This timeline, while already ambitious, has seemingly been accelerated by China, with speculations pointing into the possibility of Model 3 production beginning as early as September, barring any unexpected delays.
