Fisker Names Its Affordable Electric SUV ‘Ocean’, Shows More Of It

You don’t even have to be a car expert to know that almost every player at the auto business is already has or has been flirting with the concept of adding an electrical crossover. Tesla, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and many others already did it, and now American startup Fisker would like to follow their case, with the Ocean.

A upcoming rival to the likes of the Model Y, it is going to be unveiled in prototype form on January 4. If everything goes as planned, then high-volume deliveries must kick in in 2022, but prior to that, Henrik Fisker’s firm will start taking reservations for it on November 27.

It won’t even function as typical buying experience , since the Ocean, which will have a sub-$40,000 starting price, is all about the future, so Fisker will launch a cellular app-based leasing program.

Described as the “world’s rdquo & vehicle;it uses several green materials, from the oceans, sourced from abandoned fishing nets pulled such as the carpeting made from recycled nylon. The interior trim that is vegan is becoming more popular and the Ocean includes rubber 22, that also, in addition to from waste.

The 4,640 mm (182.7 in) long vehicle will feature a full size solar roof that will boost efficiency and might offer around 1,000 free miles (1,610 km) each year.
