Ford’s Mustang-inspired electrical crossover should debut later this year as the company has employed its Full Year Earnings Review and 2019 Outlook (PDF) to show a “new all-electric usefulness ” will soon be released in the near future.

Even though Ford didn’t even move in to specifics, the automaker supported the electrical crossover will probably be unveiled later this year and go available in 2020. The company didn’t say much else about the model, but the automaker has previously said the crossover will have a range of 300 miles (483 kilometers ). If the organization can make this happen, the crossover would be able to win against the Tesla Model X 100D that could travel 295 miles (474 kilometers ) before having to be recharged.

We’ll know more about the crossover at the forthcoming months, but Ford has already hinted the model will have a charging process that’s an “effortless experience in your home and on the road. ” The company hasn’t established many information about this, however, Ford’s vice president of both autonomous and electrical vehicles, Sherif Marakby, has previously said “Throwing a charger at the trunk of a car and sending customers on their method isn’t enough to help promote the viability of electric vehicles” therefore “we’re redesigning the possession experience to ensure it addresses consumer pain points that now hold back broad adoption. ”

Besides speaking about the electrical crossover, Ford provided a couple more details regarding the electrical F-150 that was confirmed earlier this month. While initial speculation suggested the electrical pickup might arrive relatively shortly, as the next-generation F-150 is due in 2020, that may not be the case.

Ford stated “early work” has begun on the model and this implies the electrical truck is still a long way off. There’s no word on when the electrical F-150 can arrive, but it requires to make a vehicle.
