The former head of Nissan Motor Co. and Renault SA, that was awaiting the first of two trials in Tokyo, somehow evaded almost round-the-clock video and manned surveillance and heavy restrictions on his liberty of movement to flee to Lebanon.

From that point, Ghosn published an email Tuesday decrying that the “injustice and political persecution” of the Japanese system. The 65-year-old faced charges of financial misconduct and raiding corporate resources for private profit, allegations he said.

After he resurfaced, the internet lit up using reports and concepts of the way Ghosn, now an international driver, pulled off an escape befitting a Hollywood thriller — one which is going to be tough for Japanese authorities to reside down. There are more questions than answers.

In a single speculative account, which cited no sources, Lebanese television channel MTV reported which Ghosn smuggled himself from Japan in a large musical tool box following a Christmas ring visited his residence in Tokyo. He was sent from the country and entered Lebanon from Turkey on a plane.

The Lebanese paper Annahar, by contrast, reported that Ghosn entered the state using a French passport. The industry heavyweight has Lebanese, French and Brazilian citizenship, though all his passports had been taken from him. French newspaper Les Echos said Ghosn might have abandoned Japan below a false individuality using a forged passportafter boarding a private plane from a smaller airport where he was less inclined to be recognized.

Even the U.K.’s Guardian stated Lebanon officials were educated by governmental leaders to ignore birth convictions for Ghosn in the Beirut airport, citing a senior figure in the nation ’s ruling class that the paper didn’t recognize.

The French foreign ministry, for its part, stated it doesn’t even understand how Ghosn pulled away the caper. Lebanon’s foreign ministry said in a statement which Ghosn entered the country and it was oblivious he fled Japan and came in Beirut.

The Asahi newspaper in Japan indicated Ghosn might have flown from Kansai Airport near Osaka, citing documents from the Ministry of Transport that indicated a private jet left Japan for Istanbul in the evening of Dec. 29. On social networking, would-be sleuths also posted private-jet flight data on aircraft which left for Istanbul exactly the identical day which Ghosn might have abandoned the country.

A long-lived Bombardier Inc. company jet left Kansai airport Sunday night, arriving Monday morning in Istanbul, the Journal report said, citing flight-tracking data. A jet left the airport to get Beirut just over half an hour afterwards, it stated.

It wasn’t even only casual tweeters . Masahisa Sato, a ruling party lawmaker in Japan, questioned in a tweet whether Ghosn was helped by another country in leaving Japan, and called Ghosn’s activities prohibited.

Japan’s foreign ministry stated by email Wednesday they are currently looking into the issue and may &rsquo.

In Japan, Ghosn’s getaway dominated national newspapers’ front pages on New Year’s Day. Articles reported speculation of how Ghosn was able to escape from Lebanon, which his trial — place to start in April — was unlikely to occur.

The Sankei newspaper, citing leading officials in the prosecutor’therefore workplace, reported anger and frustration there. Those at work told the newspaper that Ghosn had made a mockery of both Japan’s justice program, blamed the judges and Ghosn’s lawyers for him out on bail, saying it was obvious he’d escape.
