Hyundai, for its part, was quick to emphasize that nothing final has been determined yet. This was highlighted by a statement by a representative of the South Korean automaker to American news agency CNBC.  “We understand that Apple is in discussion with an assortment of global automakers, including Hyundai Motor. Since the discussion is in its early stage, nothing has been determined,” the agent stated.

The automaker also released a later announcement noting that it is receiving requests for collaboration from a selection of companies. Like the automaker’s comment to the US-based news outlet, Hyundai’s upgraded announcement emphasized that no final decisions have been made yet.  “We’ve ever already been receiving requests of potential alliance from varied companies about development of autonomous driving EVs, however, no conclusions are made as talks are in early stage,” the automaker mentioned.

Unusual, if true. – Tesla currently utilizes iron-phosphate for medium range cars produced in our Shanghai factory. – A monocell is electrochemically hopeless, as max voltage is 100X too low. Perhaps they supposed cells secured together, such as our atomic battery pack?

Apple’s electric car project has been rumored for a long time. Initially making waves about six years back, the initiative was first allegedly scaled down as the technology giant adopted a more conservative approach in its own products. However, a report from Reuters, mentioning individuals allegedly familiar with the matter, stated that Apple was looking to make a passenger car by 2024 using a breakthrough “monocell” battery

This report has been met with much excitement in the technology and EV industry, though electric car seasoned and Tesla CEO Elo Musk remarked that a “monocell” battery can be electrochemically hopeless since its highest voltage would be too low. Ming-Chi Kuo, broadly regarded as the most precise Apple analyst in the market, also stated that it would not be surprising if the technician giant’s electric car program launches approximately 2028 instead, much later than the estimates shared by Reuters‘ sources.
