In Praise of Fujifilm

Fujifilm makes great cameras a number of the very best & most ldquo;bang for your buck”cameras. Imagine Fujifilm cameras like a Lexus– really nothing wrong with it! Great aesthetics Amazing performance, plus a price point.

Give it a try on your own.

The Fujifilm X100-series are called the “rsquo & bad guy;s Leica”yet — I beg to differ. This isn’t a great analogy. It’s a Fujifilm camera! The styling of the X100 is made from a rangefinder/Leica M-esque design, however it’s a camera and expertise.

As an example, the X100F is more akin to a Tesla automobile (excellent autofocus, and technology). The Leica M10 is maybe enjoy a guide shifting Porsche 911.

All cameras are great cameras

I think the goal is this:

Don’t get married or faithful or specialize in any camera manufacturer. Allow system promiscuity. Maximal by means of your gear.

Prevent sponsorships. Avoid getting a “new ambassador”. You’ll get way or another — I’ve discovered this.

Purchase your own equipment. The moment you accept gear that is absolutely free, you turn into a modest enslaved. Own your own gear, and possess your own opinion.

Digital medium format is your future

My ideas:

Digital medium format is your future.

The most interesting camera is the Fujifilm GFX 50R, and the new Fuji GF50 compact lens. An affordable and compact medium format camera for the masses.

Experiment on your own.

I’ve found that when testing a cam for around 30 seconds (in my own two hands), I could tell whether I enjoy it or not. Reviews are inclined to be a waste of time. Try holding the camera in your hands, play with all the menus and functions, whether you like it and see.

Currently the RICOH GR III is still my preferred camera, but that won’t apply for everybody. The Fuji XF10 is a terrific compact camera with a flash. X100F is still a great all around camera with no real flaws.

Whatever you choose, shoot on!
