It’s been 50 years since the human race first set foot on the Moon. And since the United States observes the historic Apollo 11 mission, India is hoping to attain another space feat. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is now currently trying to soft-land a rover about the south pole of the Moon – something no other country has done previously. The commercial space industry is worth more than $300bn. India has established a reputation for being a dependable launching pad for satellites, but what more can India do to make larger space earnings? And since India’s space business slowly opens up to commercialisation, where do space start-ups arrive in? Would India have its own version of SpaceX?
