That’s a curious statement to make since it indicates that Tesla won’t even aim the likes of Rivian, Ford, and General Motors with its own forthcoming pickup truck and might instead try to carve out its niche in the industry.

Tesla has previously suggested its pickup will manage just as well as a Porsche 911 (unlikely…-RRB-, provide seating for six passengers, have upwards of 300,000 pounds (136,077 kg) of towing capability, and over 400-500 miles (645 — 800 km) of variety.

Talking about the Tesla pickup earlier this year, Musk said “I’m personally super-excited with this pickup truck. It’s something I&rsquo. And I’ve been iterating kind of designs with Franz… It’s like I really wanted something which ’s like cyberpunk. If there’s just a small number of people that like that truck, I suppose we’ll create a conventional truck later on. However, it’s the matter that I am fired up about. It’s gonna have a great deal of titanium,” he explained.

The vehicle will be released in November.
