Prices for the more value-oriented versions of the Polestar 2 have been announced at IAA Munich 2021. The new models help bring the cost of getting into a Polestar 2 by €6,000 ($7,119 USD).
Both are available with just one motor, the Standard range Single motor Polestar 2 rings in at €45,500 ($53,974 USD) while the Long range Single motor Polestar 2 starts at €48,500 ($57,533 USD). The familiar Long range Dual motor Polestar, on the other hand, starts at €51,500 ($61,092 USD).
The single motor versions of the Polestar 2 were first announced earlier this year bring the power figures down from 408 hp (413 PS/304 kW) and 487 lb-ft (660 Nm) of torque to just 231 hp (231 PS/172 kW) and 248 lb-ft (336 Nm) of torque.

The Single motor Long Range version of the car, though, gets the same 78 kWh battery pack as the Dual motor version, and as a result of its lower power, gets greater range. On the WLTP test cycle, it gets 515-540 km (320-336 miles) of range, as compared to the more powerful Dual motor car’s 450-480 km (280-298 miles) of range. The Standard Range version, meanwhile, gets 420-440 km (261-273 miles).

I’m proud that the team has created a car that gives you a great premium experience as standard, regardless of whether you add the well-curated option packs or not.”
The car is also now offered with three trims: The Performance, Plus, and Pilot Packs. The last is the cheapest, adding just €3,500 ($4,153 USD) to the price and additional safety tech like LED head and fog lights, a 360-degree camera.
The Plus Pack adds €4,500 ($5,339 USD) to the price as well as Harman Kardon audio, WeaveTech upholstery, Black Ash deco panels, and a full-length glass roof. Finally, the Performance Pack costs an extra €6,000 ($7,119 USD) and adds adjustable Ohlins dampers, Brembo brakes, and forged 20-inch alloys.
