The Porsche Taycan is a missile aimed straight at Tesla. The German electric sedan packs everything required to provide the Model S its first real struggle. The Porsche is only as fast, is sleeker thanks to a decrease drag coefficient and packs a number of technical goodies missing from Tesla’s sedan. However, the Tesla Model S is much less expensive and has a longer range.
Specs alone can’t properly illustrate a car however they re a great starting point. What follows are several areas comparing the two levels of the Porsche Taycan from the two versions of this Model S now offered.
The chart here doesn’t list self-driving attributes or capabilities, an integral feature to this Tesla Model S. As of writing, Porsche has to enjoy any self-driving capacities of this Taycan besides the typical driver assistance features located on most of Porsche vehicles.
Please notethe EPA has yet to launch official range numbers for the Porsche Taycan. At present, Porsche is just noting that the European evaluation method, (WLTP), rates the sedan using the maximum array of 279 miles. The EPA states the Model S Long Range has a range of 370 miles.
