We make our first appearance.
It was supposed to emerge last week, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., site of the overdue Fort Lauderdale Major. But with the plug pulled on the season-opening Major of the beach season, we had been forced to wait.
For many, that wait ends that weekend, as four U.S. girls ’s teams, new partnerships, may make the visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for a two-star FIVB. The four monies going abroad are rsquo side & just four of the partnerships on the women, although two-stars would not garner much attention. While the men staged with all but two of the teams breaking up, the women & rsquo and & rsquo scene has been turned upside down;s was quiet.
While the partnerships, the ones seeking breakthroughs, hunted new partners to make the jump Virtually all of the best teams remained together. Four of those — Amanda Dowdy and Corinne Quiggle, Jessica Gaffney along with Molly Turner, Brittany Hochevar along with Carly Wopat, Caitlin Ledoux along with Geena Urango — will likely be competing in Cambodia.
It made for a unique event of SANDCAST: Beach Volleyball using Tri Bourne along with Travis Mewhirter, one in which the hosts split down what teams and individuals are primed to make the strides. We left the blue chips that are unquestionable, the Dalhaussers along with Rosses, Klinemans and Hugheses, since they’re blue chips. Our focus has been on teams and the players to produce upward the moves to that blue chip position.

Below are the five male and female beach volleyball shares, either as team or individuals, this year, to buy:
Men’s Beach Volleyball Stocks to Purchase, 2019
Chase Budinger: It seems unbelievably unappreciated, what Budinger was able to accomplish last season, his first on the AVP Tour. Not only was it his rookie year as a professional, it was the first time he had picked up a volleyball in a legitimately stadium and even thenit was indoor.
And in just 1 season, Budinger was able to make a final? Beat Evandro? Acquire Rookie of the Year?
With a complete season under his belt, Budinger ought to be one of the risers this season.

Tri Bourne, Trevor Crabb: Every time Bourne acquired a game last season — and he won many, like a over Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena and two over the Spanish, that he hadn’t ever conquer — a large part of me wanted to remind people how absurd it was that he was winning. For a year and a halfhe basically couldn&rsquo. And he was beating the best team in the U.S. and another he had never beat with John Hyden playing defense? Bourne and Crabb have been an outstanding team before either had discovered how to play defense. They ’ve experienced Jose Loiola coaching them to get an whole off-season, and Bourne is wholesome enough to, you know, sweat, that knows how high they could climb this season.

Troy Field: The comparison I like to create using Troy, relative to the stock market, is Tesla. This ’s Tesla, a commodity of, honestly, genius. It’s a ceiling that is limitless , incredible upside. Occasionally it’s brilliant, and looks as if it could revolutionize the industry. Others, it busts. Anyone who has noticed Field play has observed him make plays you can’t even teach. It’s a rare kind of athleticism that is going to win points, matches, draw partnerships (and sponsors). And then that athleticism receives a tad somewhat like Elon Musk in Tesla — ahem, taking rips with Joe Rogan — plus he takes a couple of steps back. But he’s new to the match, and with two years of high level beach under his belt, a number of these strange mistakes should be vented outside, and the ascent he’ll create this year will probably be quick.

Eric Zaun, Jeremy Casebeer: This is without a doubt the most fascinating beach volleyball team at the United States, mostly because any team with Eric Zaun onto it will be interesting, but what a dynamic these two present. Here we’ve got two bombers from the support line, that swing up of 80 percent of their moment, that are somewhat combustible in both good ways and bad. This is a team that could dump two straight matches and accept 13th as win a tournament, not drop a set. Currentlythey’re training in Brazil, contrary to the finest on earth, getting team-focused reps. I wouldn’t bet against them.

Andrew Dentler, DR Vander Meer: It’therefore hard for me to lump these two together as a team, since qualifier teams are not exactly famous for their durability. However from what they’ve revealed up to now, this will be an outstanding team. They’ve played in three AVP Nexts, winning you, placing second in fifth and another (I don’t even understand what happened there) in the following. Plus, Dentler, that was the mature of the year in 2018 — he got married, had a kid, finished his mastersbought a home — should have a little on his plate.

Women’s Beach Volleyball Stocks to Purchase, 2019
Brittany Howard, Kelly Reeves: Last year was only the second year in which Howard’s focus was solely beach volleyball. She cried for Pepperdine within her year, and she then came out and won Rookie of the Year in 2018 about the AVP Tour. The huge majority of rookies in almost any game come with no little amount of volatility, but Howard along with Reeves were versions of consistency, finishing in the top 10 in each AVP, including a third in San Francisco, although picking up a set of bronze NORCECA awards and competing in four FIVBs.
Year two should be another step upward.

Geena Urango, Caitlin Ledoux: When Urango produced her SANDCAST introduction , in December of 2017, she said that playing global volleyball wasn’t actually a priority of hers. She likes to travel, not to do so while playing volleyball. She loves enjoying the places she visits without the burden of competition.
Now with Ledoux, it sounds if a little bit she & rsquo; s reprioritizing. They went to Chetumal, Mexico for a three-star in October and made the finals. From the three prior tournaments they’d performed together, they made the finals (in San Francisco) and also the semifinals (in Hermosa Beach) and claimed seventh in p1440 San Jose.

Carly Wopat: Wopat has known success at each level of beach volleyball — state champ in high school, All-American in faculty, national team level afterwards. Now she’s on the beach, already scooped up by one of their defenders in the sport in Brittany Hochevar. With her focus on the sand, Wopat should be expected to create massive moves in 2019.

Kerri Walsh Jennings, Brooke Sweat: Remember whether it was December of 2017, along with Tiger Woods has been the 1,199th ranked golfer on the planet? And by August of 2018 he was back in the top 25? This ’s a little bit of what 2019 might function for Walsh Jennings and Sweat.
Not that Walsh Jennings might have ever fallen that far in the game, but nevertheless it ’s a parallel of one of the greats in the match being sidelined for a while and making a huge push to the top. At no point would it be wise to count out Walsh Jennings, especially since she’s playing one of the players of the creation in Sweat, who’s won with essentially everybody &rsquo.

Kelly Claes, Sarah Sponcil: Classic instance of those competitions turned teammates, that put on a delightful encounter throughout The Hague, winning a silver trophy, that will pair well with a bronze by their debut championship in Qinzhou, China, in October. This is a team that may well supplant the very best teams at the U.S. in spite of the fact that Sponcil is still competing for UCLA.
