Sedan Hits Water Barrels In Median Strip, Ends Up Pointing Skyward

An absolutely bizarre crash in China left a vehicle pointing towards the heavens after it slammed into a median.

This episode happened back in September a year ago but footage of it only recently begun to gain traction on social networking. It’s among those (or even the) strangest crashes you’ve ever seen.

Dashcam footage indicates the white sedan mixing towards a street exit. But for some reason, the driver ends up slamming directly into an accident barrier separating the 3 lanes of highway traffic in the exit. Ordinarily, you would expect this kind of impact to deliver the car to a sudden halt. In cases like this, the force of the wreck propelled the nose of the automobile upwards, ultimately leaving the vehicle sitting vertically against a rod.

Video recently shared Reddit indicates the wake of the crash. The two female occupants can be viewed looking at the car in bewilderment but they seem to have escaped uninjured.

Crash challenges similar to this clearly shouldn’t trigger something like that; they ought to absorb the effects of the collision, not ship that automobile upwards. One Redditor suggests that the barrels used in the barrier might have only been half-filled and that the bottom of the car effectively acted as a stiff sled, hence why it ended up in this kind of weird position. On the other hand, things could have gone even worse had the car turned over on its roof.
