SpaceX Wins $2.9 Billion Contract to Build New NASA Moon Lander

SpaceX has developed a $2.9 billion contract to construct a giant rocket named Starship which will require NASA astronauts to the moon.

Elon Musk’s company beat off stiff competition in a number of space billionaires, such as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who set in a bid to the contract underneath his Blue Origin firm.

Starship will be built to shoot NASA astronauts from lunar orbits, as well as landing on the top of the moon, however Musk expects that the exact same vessel may one day play a part in transporting people to start the colonisation of Mars.
