Summary – Mydbops Database meetup 2

Mydbops database meetup was held on 26-01-2019 along with 48 members from open source database community has attended this event. We had discussions on MySQL and also MongoDB databases.

Open source database enthusiastic from firms including OLA Cabs, Searce Inc, PayTm, Quikr, Zensar, Grab, SAP labs, Travel Yarri, Meddiff and some has moved from several various cities of India like Hyderabad and Chennai.

The Welcome discuss was granted my Selva venkatesh of Mydbops. He spoke about the open source database neighborhood and welcomed all the speakers and participants.

Inspired by it Karthik P R, CEO/ Founder, Mydbops created his demonstration on “InnoDB Performance Optimisation”. InnoDB is the prime engine in MySQL.This talk focuses on the InnoDB Architecture in MySQL 8.0 and its fine tuning. In addition, he answered the questions raised throughout the course of the talk by the community members.

Santhinesh Nagendran Senior Database Administrator in Tesla motors made another presentation on  ldquo;GTID Concepts,Implementation and challenges”. His talk focuses on its troubleshooting and the production difficulties.

Followed with a tea and small session, Mayank Prasad came together with his demonstration on “MySQL performance Schema: A good penetration of conducting MySQL Server”.

Mayank Prasad is currently working as a Principal Member Of Technical Staff in Oracle. He is among the first core developer for performance schema starting from MySQL 5.5. He works on InnoDB development group. He is operating in MySQL Server development for past 9 plus years. He is a well known speaker and presented in FOSS ASIA, OSI daysothers and also an active Organiser of MySQL User Camp in Bangalore. An MySQL Blogger too.

Vinoth Kanna ( Co-Founder ) presented the last demonstration of the afternoon “Journey into MongoDB Open Source from Enterprise”.MongoDB has come a ways since its beginning. MongoDB has a good set of business features. His demonstration focuses on the source tools market to replace MongoDB Enterprise.
