The Tesla Tank looks better than ever in this upgraded advantage from the upcoming Red Alert remaster.

EA manufacturer Jim Vessella, who spearheaded an attempt to convince EA to remaster the timeless Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn, visits the official Command & Conquer subreddit every once in a while to share an update, maybe even a sneak peek at in-game assets in the remaster.

Vessella formerly revealed off Tiberian Dawn’s Construction Yard, and today, the executive returned with a peek in the famous Tesla Tank in the original Red Alert.

The remastered model retains the original’s simple in-game layout, and doesn’t move to the – a whole lot more detailed – Red Alert 2 layout , or perhaps the sole displayed in RA1 cinematics. Staying true to the first in-game mention is the target, according to Vessella.

“In a bid to take advantage of this 4K resolution, most of our earlier apparatus notions included extra widgets and details, however we frequently found this compromised the unit’s readability in camera game elevation,” he composed.

“So we chose to iterate, and over the months we’t begun to hone in on these elements, and feel like the Tesla Tank here strikes a good balance between readability and people added details. Obviously, we only interpreted one Tesla ring from the legacy in-game asset, however there’s already been healthy debate with the Community Council if the Tesla ball ought to have two rings to match the cinematic benchmark. ”

Alongside the screenshot, Vessella also shared with a brief update on evolution. The team managed to get Red Alert working for the very first time , which means a whole good deal of work is moving into replacing older assets together with remastered ones. The Tesla Tank is among the many new assets already finished and ready to be applied.
