Tesla drivers possess the moral high ground in regards to helping the environment, but heaps of them likely found it hard to feel smug as they sat to charge their cars.
The unfortunate backlog was spotted in Kettleman City, California, over Thanksgiving weekend, so when what looked like almost every Tesla motorist in the region chose to head to the Kettleman City Tesla Supercharger channel, situated halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Shanon Stellini expressed her shock as she filmed the lineup of cars while sailing past in a gas-powered car with her partner on November 30.

Like most holidays, Thanksgiving weekend is a one as people travel to visit their own families and friends and towns become busy with Black Friday shoppers hoping to evaluate the best prices.
This usually means the streets are somewhat more packed than normal, which poses a problem for those who need so as to travel, to plug in their cars.
While cars might be filled and ready to go in a couple of minutes, Tesla electric cars may take up to fully charge, meaning motorists need to be patient when it comes to getting their hands.

The Tesla Supercharger channel in Kettleman City is immensely popular, but with Thanksgiving passengers added to the equation its 40 charging stalls weren. As tons of drivers headed to the station to fulfill their batteries a queue started to form.
To make things worse, the rate for everyone slows down, meaning motorists had to wait.
In her movie, Shanon films one stationary automobile after the other as her partner commented: ‘Bet they wish they’d petrol! ’
It s uncertain how long the Tesla motorists had been made to wait one commuter realised that they’d but just seemed to be ‘halfway there’.

The Tesla site explains its Supercharger channels as the ‘world’s fastest charging system ’, even though the Thanksgiving chaos shows there’s still some kinks to work out.
Before this season, the Elon Musk-owned company published a new gigantic energy storage product called ‘Megapack’ to help cope with the demand for charging channels.

During times when Tesla drivers have been predicted to create long trips Tesla may roll out Mobile Supercharger units driven by Megapacks to several places create wait times briefer.
It doesn’t seem like Kettleman City was lucky enough to receive one of the portable units.
Hopefully the motorists didn’t lose their entire weekend!
