Tesla has received a preliminary approval by the Brandenburg State Office for the Environment to Start the First projects for the construction of Giga Berlin. The company started its first measures by beginning the clearing of 91.5 hectares of large trees in the land.

Small trees were eliminated in early January to clear the area for the approaching construction in the area. With the latest permit, Tesla would have the ability to take down big trees within its building zone. This will give the company the necessary space to begin the construction of Giga Berlin’s phase.

The approval requires the company to adhere to preparatory measures to the area where Giga Berlin will eventually stand. Presently, only dirt roads for construction vehicles are present in the site. Tesla will be asked to add additional streets to get access to this location in keeping with the Federal Immission Control Act.

Brandenburg Minister of Economics Jörg Steinbach tweeted a photograph of a machine beginning the initial phases of tree. “It starts! Preparations for construction have begun. A historical photo from a couple of minutes ago,” he composed.

The approval means Tesla can begin working toward creating the land for Gigafactory 4 s risk. Tesla will be asked to substitute the trees it removes in the designated zones, a promise which CEO Elon Musk determined by the choice to put the firm ’s European Gigafactory in Berlin.

Tesla will need to comply with lots of requirements meant to protect the taxpayers of Brandenburg and the environment of neighboring locations as well. This includes safety, noise, water, along with the protection of wildlife in the area.

Construction noise will have to remain in 70 decibels below through the daytime and between 40 and 55 decibels at night. This will be to keep citizens happy as buildings near the site may experience disruptions due to the elimination of the construction function that is forthcoming along with large trees. Noise measurement devices will be retained nearby to make sure that Tesla abides by these standards, as stated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of Brandenburg.

Moreover, particular requirements that can protect groundwater and soil will be put into place. This is because a part of the site is in a drinking water protection zone that is predetermined. Construction vehicles will likely be asked to make sure that fuels do not enter resources of drinking water.

The approval process will continue and won’t be shut until March 5. Until then, objections can be raised by any parties against the construction of both Giga Berlin.
