Tesla installed fences in the Grunheide industrial land to safeguard lizards from migration to the Giga Berlin building website.

At Thursday, a double fence was built on the south side of this Tesla forest to guard reptiles and other animals which may cross in the woods. Aside from protecting the lizards from becoming unintentionally damaged in the building site, sand lizards are protected by European and building sites must hire experts to catch each creature. Even the relocation of each sand lizard can cost around 4,000 euros or roughly $4,500. Railway officials in Germany lately spent 15 million euros to relocate sand lizards out of a transport hub in Stuttgart.

Tesla enthusiast Tobias Lindh shared Twitter images of the finished barrier.

Before this weekthe State Environment Agency in Brandenburg gave Tesla the green light to continue with all the preparation works at the Giga Berlin structure site whereas the complete environmental permits are still pending. The acceptance means Tesla can get rid of the topsoil and level the 92 hectares which were cleared for the initial period of its structure.

This reptile fences’ building is consistent with the protection strategy presented by Tesla to the Brandenburg government, concerned groups, along with local residents. During the building of Giga Berlin, Tesla will resettle reptiles and other animals found in the website following the recommendations of experts in the nation.

Along with this protective fences to maintain reptiles away, Tesla have also indicated regions where timber ant nests are located.  The wood ants are also labeled as species. The ant colonies should be resettled before leveling those particular portions of their cleared Giga Berlin property.

Tesla can degree the region now. The State Office for the Environment has issued the proper permit.Bat trees need to stay standing until the animals have left their chilly quarters.Even regions with timber bees ' nests can only be emptied following the nests are resettled. pic.twitter.com/gSRwA6xU9F

Trees with rodents were not uprooted to allow the creatures to complete their winter hibernation. Experts assured concerned citizens the motor sound, loud trucks, and sound created by chainsaws in the building site won’t be harmful to the bats. Even the endangered bats at the Grunheide forest began their hibernation in February and will probably last till the end of March as their breeding season starts.

“You don’t need to be worried about the creatures. Bats are gradually waking up and leaving winter lodging,” stated Peter Busse in the Working Group on Bats in Saxony-Anhalt who has been volunteering for the protection of animals for 40 decades.

Back in January, Tesla CEO Elon Musk promised the public that Tesla will be constructed with sustainability and the environment in mind.
