Many professionals that are closely connected to Austin’so home, property market consider that Tesla’s 1.1 billion Gigafactory at Travis County could be partially responsible for the rise in house sales.

“Tesla executives had already started searching for homes only weeks following Tesla announced it would be building a mill in Austin, also with an estimated 5,000 new jobs being made it’s probably that many of these employees will be participating in Austin’s home market soon,” wrote market research analyst Kirk Silas, by Austin-based Aquila Commercial, at a report.

The Austin Business Journal wrote about two Tesla employees who were already searching for homes in the area. The very first employee was seeking a house worth less than $750,000 around the west side of Georgetown. The next Tesla worker searched for homes under $350,000 and discovered one at the south of Austin at Buda.
