Tesla Gigafactory 3’s substation rises ahead of target Model 3 production

With Gigafactory 3’s Phase 1 buildout Finished, Tesla’s electric car production facility continues to evolve.   Drone flyovers of this expansive Shanghai website have revealed a substation is being assembled. Sightings of workers with ABB Robotics uniforms in the area tip at departments of Gigafactory 3 being ready for the setup of robots.

Wuwa Vision (烏瓦), who has been following the progress of Gigafactory 3 because it was just an open, marshy field, managed to obtain some information concerning the substation being constructed southwest of the general assembly construction. The power station costs $12 million to construct, and it will be tasked to supply the website with power. Reports in the area hint in the substation being completed by September, in the same way the facility gets prepared for Gigafactory 3’s Model 3 production.

Like the rapid buildout of Gigafactory 3’s general assembly construction , the construction of this substation is moving at a rapid pace. Some areas of the substation are already taking shape, although construction was started by the construction lately. Thinking about the speed that has been shown by China’s workforce so far, there seems to be little doubt that Gigafactory 3’s power station is going to be online sometime in September.

Lately, the growth of Gigafactory 3 at Shanghai’s Lingang Industrial Zone has sparked the development of a small community of entrepreneurs near. Clothing shops, food sellers, Each and every day, and other companies set up shop to accommodate to the needs of Gigafactory 3’s workers. Jason Yang, another drone operator who has been after the buildout of this electric vehicle factory, recently took some footage of this bustling community. As fortune would have it, the Tesla enthusiast ended up recording footage of some thing fascinating.

Among the workers of Gigafactory 3 that were taking a rest in the day’s function, Yang managed to acquire a video of a employee wearing a safety vest comprising the unmistakable logo of ABB Robotics, a company that specializes in producing robots. While Tesla nor its construction partner is yet to launch any updates relating to ABB or its machines, the existence of an ABB employee on the website suggests that the main Gigafactory 3 facility is already getting ready for the setup of automated production equipment.

Gigafactory 3’s rapid buildout is to records one of China’s construction projects. After the conclusion of this Phase 1 buildout at May, the facility is anticipated to undergo ground hardening in June. This could be followed by pipeline communicating, equipment stationing, equipment commissioning, and ultimately, trial electric automobile production runs in September.
