Tesla is hinting in an “Acceleration Boost” update for Model 3 owners. References to the forthcoming performance improvement were seen by Model 3 owners in the “Upgrade” part of their automobile ’s profile on Tesla’s website.

While first reports of the upcoming Acceleration Boost suggested that it will only be exclusive to Model 3 Dual Motor AWD owners, a post in the moderator of the Tesla Model 3 Facebook team noted that Standard Range+ and Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive variations were eligible for the update.

“This is really about our SR+ with no FSD accounts page. Our AWD using FSD doesn’t show this page since there aren’t any more ‘updates ’ at this moment,” composed Mark Gillund, a Model 3 owner who serves as the moderator of the team.

While speculations point to the update it isn’t known how much each Model 3 version will be after the acceleration increase. It also remains to be seen when the increase will soon be rolled out as a simple power improve, or when it’ll be in the kind of a particular launch mode, similar to the Insane Mode from the Model S P85D and Ludicrous Mode from the Model S P100D.

In October, Tesla declared that the firm would be releasing a 5 percent power update to owners of the Model 3. This arrived in the kind of 2019.36.2.1, which comprised optimizations to the Model 3’s peak power. Inevitably, a couple owners of Dual Motor Model 3s place these updates to the test with outcomes that showed noticeable improvements in the acceleration and total speed. A Tesla Model 3 Performance was able to achieve a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds, according to statistics from YouTube’s DragTimes.

Of if the acceleration increase will be accessible to owners, A date isn’t accessible yet. But, Tesla’s website does note that Model 3 owners should have their car packed with 2019.40.2. This could hint at a launch date that is sooner rather than later.
