Among Tesla’so called future strategies is to roll out a network of self-driving “robotaxis,” dubbed “Tesla Network. ” In now ’s Tesla shareholder meeting, CEO Elon Musk fielded a question by a shareholder concerning the chance of owning a human-driven rideshare fleet before the rollout of Tesla Network.
This could be similar to Uber/Lyft or other rideshare solutions, but pushed via a owner’s Tesla program that they have installed.
Musk seemed receptive to the idea, stating that if the end goal is to get autonomous ridesharing, this may be a good stopgap before Tesla gaining regulatory acceptance to their robotaxi fleets.
