In what seems to be still another announcement of service for Tesla, Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess has noticed that the electric automobile manufacturer may find Germany a more accommodating place for EV manufacturing in comparison with United States. The VW CEO’s comments were related during a discussion with investors and analysts on Monday.

While Shifting Tesla’s aim to build its own Gigafactory 4 at Germany, Diess stated that Elon Musk is searching for a place that offers the infrastructure and environment that can foster the development and production of cars. The executive explained that this infrastructure and environment exist in Germany, but maybe not much in California, in which Tesla is established.

“What Tesla likely is searching for is the environment, the infrastructure, to build high-quality cars, which is likely much more the situation here in Germany than to the West Coast of the United States,” he also stated

In a way, Diess’ announcement does hold a great deal of water believing that Germany is well famous for its command in construction. Hence, by tapping into the country’s ability base using its European Gigafactory, Tesla may have the ability to boost its automobiles ’ quality in order to par in comparison with premium German competitors such as Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Such a strategy could be advantageous for Tesla in the long run.

That having been said, Tesla’s entrance into Germany can also present some challenges, even considering that the American automaker is famous for its demanding workload because of its workers. Tesla operates much as a Silicon Valley startup, and its workers have been known to work long hours. It remains to be seen when Germany’s automotive workforce could be open to such a environment.

While Tesla and Volkswagen could be regarded as competitions from the electric vehicle sphere, the CEOs have established a bond of forms through recent years. Diess, similar to Musk, is a powerful proponent of electromobility, which is something that the Tesla CEO has publicly acknowledged. Observing a report on Diess’ time when he joined Volkswagen, for one, Musk was fast to shield the executive, saying that Diess is performing the most among automakers to go electric.

“Herbert Diess is doing more than any carmaker to go electric. The world’s good ought to come first. For what it’s worth, he has my service,” Musk composed on Twitter.

Diess, for his part, has returned the favor. The VW CEO has been quick to fix members of the network when he was asked regarding Tesla and its own “market automaker” standing, describing that the Model 3 is a car. When Musk approved the Golden Steering Wheel award in Germany recently, Diess also confessed that the Tesla CEO is pushing the industry forward.

“This day is very important as at this point you find electric cars (are) extremely competitive (also ) winning an open contest. That’s Tesla is very important for us because Elon is displaying that it functions,” Diess said.
