Things transpire that provide a crude reminder of just how unpredictable the roads could be, although driving at high speed on the highway could seem like a activity for most motorists. 1 such incident was experienced by a Tesla Model 3 owner, when his vehicle s built-in dashcam captured the minute a bike broke down into a flash of sparks and smoke within a matter of seconds.
Tesla owner Floris Hoogendoorn was driving his blue Long Range Model 3 between Amsterdam and Alkmaar if he had been overtaken by a rider riding a Suzuki GSX1300R. Hoogendoorn was driving pretty quickly himself, together with his Model 3 maintaining a rate of 130 km/h (80 miles ). Based on the movie recorded from the Model 3’s dashcam that was built-in, the bike seemed to have been traveling faster than the sedan’s rate.
Much like Hoogendoorn’s shock, things went to the bike motorist. Sparks flew in the back of the bike, and it just took a second for the whole vehicle and its own path to be engulfed in thick smoke. The smoke was notable, revealing enough to block the visibility of the Model 3.

According to Hoogendoorn at a message into Teslarati, the part of the bike that broke off during the incident hit a hole through the engine, which could have resulted in something far worse than sparks and smoking. Engine failures at speeds beyond 80 miles on a bike, after all, may be fatal, particularly if the rider reaches equilibrium.
Fortunately, the bike driver was able to maintain charge of his GSX1300R through the incident. By the time that the Model 3 owner caught up into the smoking, broken, bicycle, the rider already got off his automobile, shaken but otherwise unharmed. The Tesla owner stayed together with the rider until numbers were exchanged and until a tow truck was known.
In general, the bike rider was lucky despite the GSX1300R’s engine failure. The roads could easily be harmful for drivers operating vehicles with four wheels, after all, after vehicles with two wheels are all involved and this danger just gets trashed. Add the high time factor and the Suzuki owner was quite lucky he came away from the call without any injuries. And due to its Model 3’s dashcam that is built-in, the rider has footage of the incident for insurance purposes.
