A Tesla Model guarded Grammy-nominated musician Steve Lacy through a head-to-head collision. Based on photos of the crash’so wake, it appears that Lacy was able to drift away from the episode relatively unharmed, despite the harshness of the wreck.

A look at Lacy’s article on his own Instagram page shows that his Model 3 was totaled on account of the head-on collision, with all of the vehicle ’therefore airbags supporting and the entire front of this vehicle being ruined. But despite this, it appears just like the cabin of the automobile was able to remain intact, protecting Lacy from some acute injuries.

In his article, the Grammy award winning musician encouraged his followers not to drink and drive. He also mentioned that he had “approved his destiny ” at the time of the collision, but he is “still here. ” Part of this, of course, is because of the Model 3’s 5-star safety score.

The Tesla Model 3 is possibly among the safest vehicles on the street today, and this is highlighted by its stellar safety ratings from several agencies throughout the world. From the United States alone, the Model 3 has received a 5-star safety evaluation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and it was able to earn a rare Top Safety Pick+ score from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The car also has a perfect safety evaluation from the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). The company’s China-made Model 3, that has been produced in Gigafactory Shanghai, recently received great scores from local safety agencies too.

A great deal of the Model 3’s stellar safety ratings is because of its all-electric layout, which will be highlighted by its floor-mounted battery and its large crumple zones in the front and back. The absence of an internal combustion engine also helps maintain the Model 3’therefore occupants safe in an accident, as there’s absolutely no engine block that may breach the cottage during a head-on collision.

What’s very interesting is that Tesla’s vehicles are getting safer over time. According to automotive teardown specialist Sandy Munro in his evaluation of the Model Y, the all-electric crossover adopts several practices and design elements that make it rather safe, including welding efficiencies and large casts in its back .
