Together with the major challenges in the creation of this Model 3 behind the company, Tesla is poised to start delivering the electric sedan to other countries. Among these is Germany, which is predicted to begin getting deliveries of this Model 3 that coming February. These very first deliveries, according to a German automotive industry expert, would probably usher in what could well be the year of Tesla, in which the California-based carmaker wind up dominating Germany’s e-car market.

In a recent study, auto veteran and founder of Germany’s Center of Automotive Research (CAR) at the University of Duisburg-Essen Ferdinand Dudenhöffer stated that 2019 would probably see a massive influx of electric vehicle registrations in the country. Dudenhöffer notes a huge portion of these registrations will be a result of the arrival of the Model 3, which he expects would assist Tesla market up to 20,000 electric vehicles each year from Germany.

“If it functions together with the manufacturing and an early sales start of Model 3 in Germany, for Tesla entirely up to 20,000 sales in this state in 2019 are potential,” the market expert wrote in his analysis.

If Tesla does wind up selling as many cars as Dudenhöffer expects in 2019, the electric automobile maker will end up Germany’s most successful EV brand. Although other EVs and vehicles can be found on the current marketplace, after all, no other car comes close to the estimated sales numbers of the Model 3. From January to October this year, as an example, Dudenhöffer notes Smart marketed 7,030, Volkswagen marketed 6,420, and Renault and BMW marketed 5,150 green vehicles every day. Tesla, which so far just sells the Model S sedan and also the Model X SUV in Germany, marketed 1,678 cars in the same period.

Dudenhöffer notes the Model 3’s arrival in Germany will probably receive a boost from forthcoming, EV-friendly authorities regulations as well. Presently, employees using their company cars privately are taxed 1% of the vehicle’s worth. Beginning January 1, 2019, company cars that are electric will receive half the tax. In accordance with German publication Wirtschaftswoche, electric car drivers could save up to 200 euros with the upcoming system in place.

The Tesla Model 3 has become a force to be reckoned with in the American automobile industry. Since the electric automobile maker hits its stride in the creation of this Model 3, Tesla has started an initiative to attract the vehicle overseas . Over the previous months, Tesla has attracted the Model 3 to several countries in Europe, as well as key markets in Asia including China and Japan. With every stop in its own worldwide tour, the Model 3 was received with much attention.

Local press reports from Europe indicate that Tesla is likely on transport 3,000 Model 3 a week to the region starting February 2019. Belgian news bureau Focus-WTV has noticed that the vehicles are arriving every week in the port of Zeebrugge, situated on the coast of Belgium. The vehicles will allegedly be sent through the employment of transport firm International Car Operators (ICO), which uses speedy RoRo (roll-on, roll-off) ships that are capable of loading and unloading cargo quickly.

A movie allegedly featuring what could well be one of the very first big deliveries of Model 3 sedans to Europe was shared by WTV to Teslarati. The clip, which was obtained earlier this month and this comprises rows of covered electric sedans from ICO’s Zeebrugge site, could be looked at below.
