Next year, the Tesla Model S ‘Plaid’ will start to get to the hands of clients but for the time being, it’s the Porsche Taycan Turbo S that’s demonstrated itself to be the most accelerative electric sedan now on sale.

In what’s the most extensive test between the flagship Model S Performance and the Taycan Turbo S to date, DragTimes led out into the quarter-mile to put the duo during their paces. The outcomes were shut however, it was the Porsche that promised victory.

During the initial run, the Porsche leaps out of the box marginally faster than the Tesla and can stretch out its lead since the 2 EVs run the quarter-mile. At the second race, the driver of this Tesla jumped the beginning and ran into a 10.563 quarter-mile, however behind the Porsche which recorded a 10.393-second quarter-mile. The next and final race nearly perfectly mimicked the first race since it had been the Porsche that captured the better launch and stretched out a commanding lead.

To ensure both were equally matched, both have been attracted into the drag strip trucks and each had 100 per cent fee before the first race.

As stated by the YouTuber, the Porsche recorded a top 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 2.35 seconds whereas the Model S Performance captured a best time of 2.34 seconds. But, because of this two-speed transmission of this Taycan Turbo S, it also turns out to be too much as the rates increased. The Porsche is also said to have performed more consistently during the day of filming.
