Tesla has Recently Released a paid Acceleration Boost upgrade for Your Model Y Dual Motor AWD. The upgrade, which may be gotten for $2,000 through the “Upgrades” port in the Tesla mobile app, enhances the 0-60 mph performance of this all-electric crossover from 4.8 minutes to 4.3 minutes. That’s about 10% faster than the vehicle’s original operation.

As noted by the company in its Acceleration Boost buy page, Model Y owners who want to get the upgrade would need to get a car that’s applications version 2020.36 installed. The company also noticed that the upgrade isn’t eligible for a refund after 48 hours of purchase.

This really isn’t the first time that Tesla rolled a paid upgrade for a Dual Motor AWD automobile . Last December, Tesla introduced a similar offer to owners of this Model 3 Dual Motor AWD that reduced the all-electric auto ’s 4.4-second 0-60 mph to only 3.9 seconds. That’s a half-second advancement, similar to what the electrical vehicle maker recently released for the Model Y.

The upgrade thoroughly impressed the EV community, as it highlighted Tesla’s capacity to release performance improvements to its cars via an abysmal applications upgrade. Very few carmakers these days are effective at OTA updates, after all, and even fewer are ready to roll out features and improvements similar to Tesla. Tests from Tesla community members who bought the Acceleration Boost showed that the upgraded vehicles were indeed quicker.

It would not be too surprising when the Model Y Dual Motor AWD’s paid Acceleration Boost upgrade makes the all-electric crossover even quicker than anticipated. During the weeks that followed the in-app purchase’so launch for the Model 3, owners of this all-electric sedan who bought Acceleration Boost recorded even better performance than that which Tesla said. One owner who employed a Dragy during real-world evaluations showed a 0-60 mph time of 3.48 moments in an upgraded Model 3 Dual Motor AWD. That’s quicker than the initial variant of this Model 3 Performance, which had a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 minutes.

The Tesla Model Y is among the very fun crossovers from the marketplace because of the driving dynamics and outstanding performance, with reviewers imagining that the non-Performance variants of this vehicle were fantastic to push. Having the Acceleration Boost upgrade, the Tesla Model Y will be even more striking, especially for owners who love surprising the occasional ICE car in impromptu stoplight sprints.
