Tesla patent outlines system to actively monitor improper seatbelt use

Released in 2019 and given earlier this season , Tesla’s patent to “Improper Seatbelt Usage Detection” supplies a good method for the firm ’s vehicles to correctly determine if its occupants are belted in correctly. With such systems in place, Tesla could highlight its location as the maker of the planet ’s safest vehicles. Teslas are already safe to start with, as a result of their all-electric layout that provides them a low center of gravity and also ample crumple zones. But with a slew of programs such as Autopilot and improper seatbelt detection systems, maybe it would not be long until professional automobile testers like Consumer Reports can’t trick Tesla’s safety features efficiently.
