Tesla has revealed it recently fired a worker at its Fremont, California factory after they supposedly “maliciously sabotaged” a portion of their centre.
In an email sent earlier this week by Tesla’s vice president of authorized and acting general counsel, Al Prescott, it had been disclosed the car manufacturer quickly responded to this episode and operations at the factory were only temporarily disrupted.
“Two weeks before, our IT and InfoSec teams determined [sic] a worker had maliciously sabotaged a part of the Factory,” Prescott composed in the email. “Their quick action prevented further harm and production has been operating smoothly again a couple of hours after. ”
Tesla has not named the employee however, claims that the man worker tried to “cover up his tracks” until attributing a co-worker and destroying a company computer. “Ultimately, after having been shown the irrefutable evidence, the employee confessed. Because of this, we terminated employment,” Prescott included within his email, The Detroit News reports.

This isn’t the very first time Tesla has struck some form of sabotage from within. In 2018, Musk stated in an internal email an employee by the name of Martin Tripp was hoping to sabotage the organization and went as far as to assert he was planning to take up its Nevada factory, although authorities shortly determined the man wasn’t such a hazard.
In a separate incident in 2016, Tesla sued an ex oil-services executive order for impersonating Musk within an email to former chief fiscal officer Jason Wheeler.
“We put enormous trust in our staff and value everybody ’s participation,” Prescott’s e mail continued. “However, whatever the private motivations of this attacker were, these are crimes, violations of our code of conduct, and are unfair to other workers. We will take aggressive action to safeguard the organization and our folks. ”
